James Hastings is the principal attorney of Merchants Counsel. As the first in-house counsel to a $100 million-plus multichannel merchant, James has learned the business and legal concerns unique to brand owners first-hand. As an attorney and litigator at large intellectual property law firms in New York and the Washington DC-metro area, he has represented large and medium-sized retailers and ecommerce merchants in all facets of brand protection and enforcement.
